Cruise Critic is the ultimate online cruise resource. It is the leading cruise review site and hosts the largest cruise community in the world. The goal of the site is to help people find the right cruise vacation for them by featuring over 700 cruise ships, tips and recommendations, expert advice and so much more.

In collaboration with the product team our goal was to update several areas on the homepage to not only follow UX best practices but to make our content more digestible for our audience and easier to navigate.

We started this task from the top of page and worked our way down, testing our changes along the way and rolling out the winning designs. A few to note are:

• The redesign of the search form to a tabbed format
• Incorporating our value proposition messaging
• Updating the look and feel of the featured article shelf and the supporting shelf below it
